Mick McCarthy takes option to offer Charleroi man contract
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy says he has taken up the option to sign midfielder Adlene Guedioura from Charleroi on a permanent basis. The 24-year-old joined on loan from the Belgian club in January, and at the end of April told reporters that he was keen to extend his stay. McCarthy has clearly been won over too, as he opted to offer the Frenchman a contract. "The deal is done now, it's all sorted," McCarthy told BBC Sport. "I know he's a good player and he's come from Charleroi and really added something to the Premier League. "He's a lovely fellow and a good player." Guedioura scored his first goal for Wolves in a 2-1 win over Sunderland on Sunday, always a precious moment for a new player. "He shoots," added McCarthy. "Sometimes he shoots from ridiculous ranges but if you shoot, you score."
